At Avid Dental, we have numerous oral surgery services available for you. We always treat our patients with an incredible amount of care so that your visit is as comfortable and stress-free as possible. While dental implants are completely artificial replacements for your teeth, you’ll find that they are very similar in structure. The implant is a titanium restoration for the root, which serves as a stimulant to the jawbone. The crown and abutment integrates to serve as the new tooth, which very natural.
When the dental implant is placed, the bone bonds with the titanium as the area heals. We then use an abutment to connect the post to the crown after the implant is healed typically with in 4-6 months.
In some cases, bone grafting might be required if you are looking to get dental implant or other restorations. Bone loss due to tooth removal and bone grafting provides an opportunity for those with weakened bones.
All-on-4 is a treatment option that allows us to give you a full arch of teeth supported by just four dental implants. If your jawbone is healthy enough for the All-on-4 restoration option, it is a great alternative to dentures. The only difference between this treatment and coming in for single implants is that these are placed at an angle, allowing the implants to utilize more of the jawbone as support
